Former NBA player and recording artist, Robert Terrell “Terry” Cummings was born on March 15, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois. Cummings attended DePaul University in 1979 until he was drafted into the NBA in 1982. He played for seven teams, appeared in 13 playoffs, won the division title in six, and finished with an average of 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Cummings' music is influenced by the late Marvin Gaye, and the incomparable Gerald Levert. A businessman, producer, writer and a self-taught musician, Cummings is a legend in his own right. Currently, he is the CEO and founder of Cummings Entertainment Group created in 1984.After an impressive 18 years in the league, he recorded his first CD in 2005 titled "Nothing is What it Seems", "T.C. Finally" in 2007 followed by "The Lifestyle Project: Living Loving Laughing" (L-3) in 2010. Cummings’ single "Finally" was re-recorded by Bishop T.D. Jakes and appeared on Jakes’ "Sacred Love Songs 2" CD in 2011.
At the age of 16, Terry Cummings was ordained a minister, and serves as senior pastor of Hope Egeneto Ministries International in Atlanta, Georgia.
